PRACTICAL TAJWEED
HARAKAH:
The harakah is the sign placed above and below the
letter to indicate the sound of the letter.
There are three in number:
1. Fatha :
2. Kasra :
3. D'hamm :
SUKOON:
The literal meaning of this is "to be without harakah".
The sukoon is of two types:
1. Al- sukoon - al -laazim (The compulsory sukoon):
While reciting the Qur’an, this is the sukoon that
maintains the flow when you continue to recite and is the
end sukoon when you stop.
2. The transient (presented) sukoon:
This sukoon appears wherever we stop and disappears
when we pass.
