Old/older/oldest:

Bunlar, hem attributive (niteleme) hem de predicative (yüklemi oluşturan) sıfat olarak kullanı-
labilirler. Hem insanlar hem de nesneler için kullanılabilen yaşlı (old), daha yaşlı (older), en
yaşlı (oldest) anlamlarında kullanılan sıfatlardır:

My brother is older than me.
This mosque is the oldest building in our city.
Your car is older than his car.
It is the oldest camera.

Further/farther:

Further ve farther ikisi uzaklık belirtirken kullanılır:

The library is further/farther down the road.
It’s a long way from here to the school – further/farther than I thought.
I can throw much further/farther than you.

Ayrıca, further „ilaveten, daha fazla‟ anlamına gelir:

Have you any further questions?
There is nothing further to be said.

 Comparison (karşılaştırma), similarity (benzerlik), contrast (zıtlık) ifade eden yapılar:

İki insan veya şeyin benzer dereceye sahip olduğunu belirtmek için kullanılır:
