as...as yapısı ile her gün kullanılan kalıplaşmış ifadeler vardır:

as blind as a bat as bold as brass
as bright as a button as cheap as dirt
as clear as a bell as cool as a cucumber

as easy as pie as fat as a pig
as free as a bird as hard as nails
as keen as mustard as large as life
as made as a hatter as pleased as Punch
as pretty as a picture as quick as lightning
as right as rain as safe as houses
as clear as crystal as cold as ice
as good as gold as light as a feather
as old as the hills as white as snow

He is as bright as a button.
You are as cold as ice.
She seems to be as free as a bird.
This question is as easy as pie.

As...as yapısı da than gibi isim veya zamirin önünde gelirse edat (preposition), cümleden
önce gelirse bağlaç (conjunction) olarak kullanılır:

He is as tall as me. (as...as = edat)
He is as tall as I am. (as...as = bağlaç)

You are as clever as your father. (as...as = edat)
You are as clever as your father is. (as...as = bağlaç)

not as/so...as:

İki insanı veya şeyi kıyaslarken not‟tan sonra as veya so getirebiliriz:

She is not as/ so beautiful as her mother.
He is not as/ so clever as his friend.

Not such a/ an + sıfat yapısı da mümkün:

You are not such a studious student as İlker.

‘More than’ , ‘less than’ ve ‘worse than + sıfat’:

Bunlar pek çok sıfatın önünde aşağıdaki şekilde kullanılabilirler:

He was more than pleased with the news.
My car is worse than useless.
It would have been less than fair.
