            Non-defining relative clause’da iyelik (possessive):

          Non-defining relative clause’da iyelik (possessive) belirtirken hem insanlar hem de nesneler
          için whose kullanılır. Ayrıca sadece nesneler için of  which kullanılır:

          Mr. Genç is my roommate.
          His father is very rich.

          Mr. Genç, whose father is very rich, is my roommate.
          (Babası çok zengin olan Mr. Genç benim oda arkadaşımdır)

          Your house is wonderful .
          Its garden is full of many kinds of flowers.

          Your house, whose garden is full of many kinds of flowers is wonderful.
          (Bahçesi pek çok çiçek çeşidi ile dolu olan eviniz muhteşemdir)

            Nicelik (quantity) belirten ifadelerde non-defining:

          Nicelik belirten  some of,  one of,  both of , most of,  much of, either/neither of , none of gibi
          ifadelerden sonra insanları tanımlıyorsak whom, nesneleri tanımlıyorsak which kullanırız:

          My friends go fishing every weekend.
          Both of them are teachers.

          My friends, both of whom are teachers, go fishing every weekend.
          (İkisi de öğretmen olan arkadaşlarım her hafta sonu balık tutmaya giderler)

          He didn’t want to take part in the conversation.
          Much of it was full of  political subjects.

          He didn’t want to take part in the conversation much of which was full of  political subjects.
          (Çoğu siyasi konularla dolu olan sohbete katılmak istemedi)

          She bought history books.
          Most of them are written in English.

          She bought history books most of which are written in English.
          (Çoğu İngilizce’yle yazılmış olan pek çok tarih kitabı satın aldı)

            Tanımladığımız isim iyelik (possessive) belirtiyorsa nicelik ifadelerinden sonra whose
          kullanılır:

          He bought a book named ‘ The Light’.
          Some of its pages were torn.

          He bought a book named ‘ The Light’ some of whose pages were torn.
          (Bazı sayfaları yırtık olan ‘The Light’ isminde bir kitap satın aldı)
