 Throughout, bir eylemin, bir periyodun başlangıcından sonuna kadar olduğunu/devam
ettiğini vurgulamak istediğimizde in ve during yerine kullanılabilir:

They were studying hard for final exams throughout April.

 The entire, the whole gibi ifadeler during ve throughout ile kullanılabilir:

During/throughout the whole/the entire summer he stayed at home.

All....long:

Bir eylemin belli bir süreç boyunca devam ettiğini belirtir. Night, day gibi kelimelerle kullanı-
labilir. Long kullanmak isteğe bağlıdır:

We rowed all day (long).
They listened to music all night (long).

Not.....any more, (not) any longer, no longer:

Bu zarflar bir sürecin durduğunu veya durması gerektiğini belirtir:

He can't stand it any more/any longer.
We can no longer afford to live there.

Sıklık zarfları belirli (definite) ve belirsiz (indefinite) olmak üzere ikiye ayrılırlar. İkisi de

Bu gruptaki zarflar aşağıdaki sözcük ve sözcük gruplarından oluşurlar:

once a day, week, month etc fortnightly every other day
twice, three times etc. monthly every few days
several times yearly every second day
hourly annually on Tuesdays/Wednesdays etc.
daily every day/ week/month etc.

 Bu zarflar genellikle cümlenin sonunda yer alırlar:
