 For+isim/zamir pek çok sıfattan sonra kullanılabilir.

It’s important for me to take up tennis.
(Tenise başlamak benim için çok önemlidir)

It was useless for them to study so much.
(Bu kadar çalışmak onlar için lüzumsuzdu)

It was very easy for her to deceive Freddy.
(Freddy’i aldatması onun için çok kolaydı)

 Subj+be+superlative (en üstünlük derecesi) + to-infinitive:

I was the first to win the race.
(Yarışı ilk kazanan bendim)

He is the cleverest person to solve this problem.
(O bu problemi çözecek en zeki kişidir)

She is the most suitable one to overcome these obstacles.
(O bu zorlukların üstesinden gelecek en uygun kişidir)

 the only +isim’den sonra da to-infinitive kullanılır:

You are the only person to disturb.
She is the only one to talk to.

Too+Adj+to-infinitive:

Too, ‘çok, aşırı’ anlamına gelir. Cümle yapı itibariyle olumlu fakat anlam açısından olum-
suzdur :

The path was too slippery to walk along.
(Patika yürünemeyecek kadar kaygandı)

The film is too boring to watch.
(Film izlenmeyecek kadar sıkıcı)

He is too young to live alone.
(Tek başına yaşayamayacak kadar gençti)

Ann is too angry to talk to today.
(Ann bugün kendisiyle konuşulmayacak kadar sinirli)
