Less:

 Little’in comparative (üstünlük karşılaştırması) şeklidir. Normalde sayılamayan isimlerle
kullanılan bir niceleyicidir. Fakat, sayılabilen çoğul isimlerle de kullanıldığı görülür:

She receives less money than the others do.
He drinks less coffee than tea.
There have been less accidents on this road since the speed limit was introduced.

 Less’den sonra than kullanılabilir:

They had less than three miles to go.
It’ll take less than two hours to get there.
It took less than no time to write a reply.

 Less niceleyicisi, even, far, a good deal, a little, a lot, many, much sözcükleriyle nitelene-
bilir:

He has got a lot/far/much less free time than I used to have.

The least:

Little’ın süperlative (en üstünlük karşılaştırması) şeklidir. Bu da less gibi normalde sayılama-
yan isimlerle kullanılır, fakat, sayılabilen çoğul isimlerle kullanıldığı da görülür:

You are the best teacher even though you have the least experience.
The political programmes on TV attract the least viewers.

 Quantifier + plural countable noun or + (singular) uncountable noun:
(Niceleyici + çoğul sayılabilir isim veya (tekil) sayılamayan isim)

Some:

Hem sayılabilen çoğul hem de sayılamayan isimlerle kullanılan bir niceleyicidir genellikle
olumlu cümlelerde kullanılır:

 Sayılabilen çoğul isimlerle kullanıldığında birkaç anlamına gelir:

We bought some books.
They sent some letters.
I lent him some records of mine.
