 Any soru cümlelerinde de kullanılır:

Do you have any chocolate?
Have you got any matches?

 Hardly, barely, scarcely, seldom, without gibi olumsuz anlam içeren sözcüklerin bulundu-
ğu cümlelerde de any kullanılabilir:

He went out without any shoes.

I have hardly any spare time.
(Hemen hemen hiç boş vaktim yok)

 Şüphe belirten ifadelerde if/whether’dan sonra:

I wonder whether Mr.Genç has any flowers in his house.
I don’t know if/whether there is any petrol in the tank.

 Not...any yerine no kullanılabilir. Bu durumda fiil olumlu olur:

I haven’t any matches = I have no matches.
There aren’t any students in the classroom.= There are no students in the clasroom.
He hasn’t got any money. = He has got no money.

 Olumlu cümlede kullanıldığında herhangi bir manasına gelir:

Any book will be useful for you.
Any train from this platform stops at Eskişehir.

All:

Bütün, hepsi anlamına gelen all, hem sayılabilen çoğul hem de sayılamayan isimlerle kullanı-
lan bir niceleyicidir.

 All’un nicelediği sayılabilir çoğul isimlerden sonra gelen yardımcı fiil veya fiil çoğul olma-
lıdır:

All houses are expensive in Çanakkale.
All students have failed in yesterday’s exam.
All elephants are animals, but not all animals are elephants.

 All’un nicelediği sayılamayan isimden sonra gelen yardımcı fiil ya da fiil tekil olmalıdır:

All wood tends to shrink.
All bread gets stale quickly.
