Direct speech‟teki I/we shall, aktarılan cümlede he/she/they would olarak değişir:
“I shall introduce you to Ann tomorrow,” said Bob.
Bob said (that) he would introduce me to Ann the next day.
(Bob beni yarın Ann ile tanıştıracağını söyledi)
